Structural Engineer

Calculate the foundation of success

The driving force behind maritime structures

At Saltwater, great naval engineering begins with understanding what lies below the surface. As a Structural Engineer, you ensure that maritime structures are strong, safe, and reliable. You analyze the forces acting on vessels and offshore structures in real-world conditions and translate them into smart, practical designs that can withstand the toughest environments at sea.

Working closely with CAD Engineers, you ensure that calculations, designs, and technical drawings seamlessly align. In doing so, you make a direct contribution to innovative maritime solutions that are deployed around the world.

How you’ll make a difference

Through your analyses and calculations, you provide the technical foundation for successful maritime projects. You assess structures for strength and fatigue performance, translate project and client requirements into well-founded design decisions, and ensure designs comply with applicable standards and regulations. By turning complex engineering challenges into clear insights and concise reports, you help clients and project teams make informed technical decisions.

You share your expertise with colleagues, contribute critical thinking to structural design challenges, and help continuously improve the quality of the final result. In doing so, you strengthen not only the project itself, but also the knowledge and capabilities of the engineering team.

Key tasks:

Perform structural strength calculations using FEM software and proprietary engineering tools

Assess and ensure the structural integrity and fatigue performance of maritime structures

Translate client requirements into practical designs that comply with applicable standards and regulations

Prepare clear and concise reports presenting the results of engineering calculations and analyses

Advise and collaborate with CAD Engineers to translate designs into detailed technical drawings
