Started as a graduate and grew into a role in structural and project engineering. The mix of technical work and contributing to project solutions makes the job engaging. Open collaboration, knowledge sharing, and development opportunities enable continuous professional and personal growth.
I started at Saltwater during my graduation internship and have continued to develop within the company ever since. I began as a Naval Architect, a role in which I combined structural and marine engineering. Over time, my focus has shifted to structural and project engineering, which I find very rewarding. At Saltwater, I’m given the space to further grow in this direction.
In my work, I’m involved in various aspects of engineering, from technical detailing to contributing to broader project solutions. This combination is what makes the work both interesting and challenging. No two days are the same, and there is always something new to learn.
What makes working at Saltwater stand out to me is the mix of experience within the team. There is a lot of knowledge to learn from, while collaboration remains open and approachable. In addition, there is plenty of room for initiative, both within projects and beyond. This contributes to a positive and engaged working environment.
At Saltwater, you are given the opportunity to continuously develop yourself. The mindset is simple: what you don’t know yet, you can learn. This learning culture encourages you to keep growing and to take on new challenges.
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active. I play a lot of padel with friends and, more recently, increasingly with colleagues as well. It’s a great way to get to know each other better and contributes to a strong team atmosphere.
